This module develops your engagement with educational thinking and practice, with a specific focus on Simulation and learning through immersion in clinical teams. The Module aims to develop your ability to create and sustain learning environments that are supportive of learners’ needs, to approach learning within clinical environments that maximise opportunities to learn from the multi-disciplinary community, and your appreciation and use of briefing and debriefing as a key element of safe and effective workplace-based learning. By the end of this module, you should feel confident leading or
contributing to the design of simulation and/or work-based learning sessions.

This module develops your engagement with educational thinking and practice, with a specific focus on supporting learning in the clinical environment. It requires a sustained critical engagement with your own and others’ practice as clinical teachers and supervisors. There is a strong experiential element to this module, which aims to develop your ability to create and sustain learning environments that are safe for patients and supportive of learners, to approach clinical teaching in ways that are both patient- and learner-centred and to have purposeful, developmental conversations with learners that support their personal and professional development.
