This module is designed to give you the tools to be prepared for entry to the world of work and complements the input you have already received in the Personal Effectiveness and Communication Skills (PECS) module. You should consider revisiting and reflecting on your learning from PECS, and other modules to consolidate your knowledge and enhance your skills.
As you near the end of your degree programme it is important that you understand how to best engage with the world of business – what your options might be, what it is looking for, how can you sell yourself, what skills are employers most lacking in the workplace, and especially how to navigate the recruitment market. We will also look at how you can perform well in interviews and assessment centres and maximise your chances of getting hired.
